Weston Nielsen Obituary
He was born Oct. 10, 1953, in New London, the son of Weston F. and Frances (Carpenter) Nielsen.
Weston worked for many years as a manager for the Groton Motor Inn.
He is survived by his mother, Frances Nielsen of Mystic; sister Lynn Volpe of Florida; his cousins, Shirley Crosswaith of Newington, Steve Meyer of Montville, George Carpenter Jr., of Ohio, Kenneth Carpenter of Noank, and Susan (Carpenter) Scarchek of Coventry; as well as a host of friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Starr Burying Ground, Lestertown Road, Groton. There are no calling hours. Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London assisted the family with the arrangements. Please visit www.byles.com to sign the guestbook.

Always enjoyed Wes at GMI and his desire to please the people he served was always above and beyond! He always had a story to tell and his smile was dynamic with dimples. Rest in peace. My sympathy to the family.
