William Connolly Obituary
Mr. Connolly was born on July 11, 1925, in Boston, the son of the late John Connolly and the late Margaret (Hiller) Connolly. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired in 1987 from General Dynamics where he built submarines. He was a member of the V.F.W., and was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen Jones Connolly in November 2009.
Surviving Mr. Connolly are a daughter, Maureen Pamela Amoda of California; three sons, John Joseph Connolly, William Carter Connolly, and Sean Patrick Connolly, all of Connecticut; a brother, James Connolly of Massachusetts; and two sisters, Frances Fernald of Florida and Ruth Pruett of Massachusetts. Several grandchildren and many other relatives and friends also survive.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Humane Society of your choice in memory of Mr. Connolly.
