William Tessier Obituary
He was a firefighter for the City of Norwich prior to his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce (Stiles) Tessier.
Services are private. Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington Street, New London is assisting with the arrangements. A full obituary will appear in the Sunday edition of The Day.

Hi Joyce: I knew Bill from the CT Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, Region 4 Office. We worked together in the Colchester Troop K Barracks. Bill and I had many fun times working together. He always brought in some of Joyce's Cookies whenever there was a party at Troop K. He shared many memories of working with the Fire Service as well. Bill will be missed. I pray for peace and comfort for the family.

To a family and friends of Bill Tessier I would like to extend my deepest condolences. Bill myself and a couple others all grew up together in the city of Groton and were inspired to volunteer our time and train to become firefighters. It was a pleasure to watch Bill catch his dream. I’ll be becoming ato extend my deepest condolences. I had the honor of knowing Bill from my Groton days as a member of Eastern Point Fire Company. I followed his career as he progressed through his career. Bill was a thoughtful and caring friend. I was sadden by this news. He was a great firefighter and mentor. My condolences to his family. Godspeed, my friend, while he will be missed on earth, heaven gained a great soul. RIP Gunner
