Bruce Joseph Tessier, 71, of Nashua, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born on March 20, 1954, in Holyoke MA, Bruce was the beloved son of the late Henry and Lillian (Plouffe) Tessier. He was a devoted husband to Claire (Lancourt) Tessier, whom he married in 1978, sharing 48 years of cherished memories.

Bruce attended South Hadley High School, South Hadley MA, graduating in 1972. He graduated from St. Anselm College, Manchester NH, with a degree in Biology and the University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI, with a degree in Plant Pathology. Bruce was a computer programmer and software engineer for over 32 years at various companies. He especially cherished the camaraderie of his colleagues during his eight years working at the Volpe Center, in Cambridge MA, on the INTRANSIT project, and his 2 years at RJO, creating friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Bruce was a devoted parishioner of Infant Jesus Church, where he served as lector and and volunteered his time with the parish's Family Festivals, annual Senior Christmas dinner and provided technical support to the parish office. He also gave his time to the Square Pond Improvement Association, supporting the lake community.

Bruce's favorite times were spent at the camp on Square Pond, Acton ME, with his family. He also enjoyed fishing, geocaching adventures with his grandchildren and attending their special events.

Above all, Bruce will be remembered for his dedication to his family, profession and community. His legacy of service, intellect, and his Moxie will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife Claire, Bruce is survived by his sons William Tessier and his wife Christina of Billerica, MA, Matthew Tessier and his wife Tzafra of Holden, MA, and Michael Tessier and his wife Meredith of Greenville, RI; his six grandchildren: Aoife, Ian, Talia, Fiona, Jacob, and Emmett; his brother Henry "Skip" Tessier Jr. and his wife Terry; his sister-in-law Nancy Tessier, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Richard and Martha Lancourt; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. John XXIII Parish, at Infant Jesus Church, on Saturday, Mar. 21, at 10 AM.
