Robert Pelletier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rochette Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Feb. 26, 2026.
Robert A. "Bob" Pelletier, 88, a lifelong resident of Nashua, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. He is the beloved husband of Lorraine (Labrie) Pelletier with whom he shared 68 years of marriage.

Bob was born in Nashua, New Hampshire on August 20,1937, and was the son of the late Robert Pelletier and Irene (Ricard) (Pelletier) Rosedoff. He received his education in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School class of 1956.

Known by many as Bob, and to his family as Pepere; he was a very generous husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. Bob is survived by loving wife Lorraine Pelletier of Nashua, NH and their children: Gary Pelletier (Robin) of Bedford, NH; Michael Pelletier (Wendy) of Essex, VT, Gail Levesque (Gilles) of Nashua, NH. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lynn Labrie of Nashua. Bob will be missed by many grand and great grandchildren: Laura Levesque (Jason Brown) of Milford, NH, Jared Levesque (Stacy Callahan) of Merrimack, NH, Nicole Carr (Orrin) of Seymour, TN [Zeke and Vivienne]; Robert Pelletier (Samantha) of Lancaster, PA [Cole and Luke], Samuel Pelletier of Bedford, NH, Katherine Davenport (Jake) of North Kingstown, RI; Rachel Pelletier (Josh Hendriks) of Brighton, MA, several cousins, a nephew, a niece, and innumerable dear friends. Sadly, Bob was predeceased by his son Steven Pelletier in 2020, siblings Ronald Pelletier and Patricia Stinson and in-laws Robert and Claudette Courtemanche.

He attended local schools and Lowell Tech, and he enjoyed playing baseball in his youth. Bob was very active in Scouting and the Doucet Association; inspiring his three sons to reach their Eagle Scout Rank. Bob was recognized with the prestigious St. George Scouting Award.

Bob and his wife, Lorraine, operated Turnpike Super Shell and Super Shell Food Mart in Nashua, NH from 1965 to 2001 receiving numerous regional and national awards for excellence. Bob was generous with his time and talents, spending many days and nights helping others with their cars. Bob took pride in hosting fun days at the garage with extensive displays and giveaways. He was proud to have restored a vintage Ford Model A fuel delivery truck and included it in celebrations. He was always ready to help local youth by providing their first jobs and offering not so subtle encouragement for grandkids to come to work, too.

After retiring, he enjoyed many great memories of boating and special times at Webster Lake. The fun included creating floats for the 4th of July boat parades, tubing, swimming, fishing, bird watching, fires and cookouts which were treasured by his children, grandchildren, and extended family. Bob enjoyed having one-on-one time with each grandchild, this was considered "Pepere Daycare" and usually included a stop for great chinese food. Lake time was also reserved for good books and naps on the screened-in porch.

Bob has been generous his entire life with his time, encouragement and support to many generations. We all feel so fortunate that we were able to spend what time we had with him. He was one-of-a-kind and will not be replaced, and the loss is immeasurable.

Relatives and friends are invited to Bob's visitation on Thursday, March 5th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on FRIDAY, March 6th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Bob's interment will be held privately at a later date in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. Donations may be made in Bob's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org or the charity of your choice.

Yesterday

Mr. Pelletier was a very supportive person for all scouts. I remember him from the early 1970´s when we would meet at the station on the way to hike to camp Doucet by way of the Acton trail. I offer my condolences to his family.
