It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark Richard Curzake, who passed away peacefully at home on February 27th, 2026 at the age of 61. He was a beloved father, son, brother, and dear friend to all who knew him.

Born to Josephine M. (Costa) Curzake and the late John E. Curzake Sr. in Providence in 1964, Mark graduated from Tolman High school in 1982 and the University of Rhode Island in 1986 with a degree in electrical engineering. His career was marked by a love of people, and he was always happiest when he was working to make others happy.

Mark was well known for his love of the sea, ebullient sense of humor, and steadfast commitment to his friends and family. There was no more reliable friend than Mark, and he will be dearly missed.

Mark is survived by his two children, Jason Curzake and Daniel Curzake (Sarah-Ann), his mother Josephine Curzake, twin brother John Curzake Jr. (Jeanne), sister Ellen Westcott (Glenn), uncle Richard Curzake (Paula), many nieces and nephews and by his beloved partner Pamela Horsfall.

Visiting hours will be held for Mark on Wednesday, March 4th from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, 02879. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 5th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea church, 864 Point Judith Rd., Narragansett, RI. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Mark's favorite cause, the Pt.
