In Loving Memory of Gary Tessier

Gary Tessier, a cherished father, son, and brother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27th at the age of 60, at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of Providence, with his loving family by his side. Gary was the beloved son of Pauline Tessier and the late Andre Tessier of Harrisville, RI. He was a devoted father to Miles Tessier of Manville, RI. He is also survived by his partner, Carolyn Dooley, with whom he made a loving and peaceful home for many years. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Tessier, and her spouse, Joshua Crutcher of Broomfield, CO, and his brother Derek Tessier and his spouse, Nidhi Kapoor-Tessier, of Norfolk,

MA, and many other family and friends. Gary was predeceased by his brother, Glen Tessier, of Broomfield, CO.

Throughout his life, Gary was known for his creative nature, mischievous smile, and his ability to bring comfort and encouragement through poetry and music. Gary touched countless lives with his quest to find humor in even the most difficult times. He had a huge heart for family and friends and will be missed dearly.

In addition to spending quality time with his loved ones, Gary started a new career path over the last few years. He dedicated his time as a Certified Nurse Assistant and was progressing toward becoming an RN. He found joy and comfort in helping families with older adults. He assisted older adults live with dignity, respect, and laughter as they transitioned. Gary will be remembered for his warm heart and the joy he brought to those around him. In the words of lyricist Robert Hunter:

In another time's forgotten space

Your eyes looked from your mother's face

May the four winds blow you safely home
