OBITUARY HONORING ROBERT LOUIS PINE

Robert L. 'Bob' Pine, 69, of Foster, was gently ushered from the loving arms of his wife and life partner into the eternal embrace of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, January 23, 2026 in the comfort of his home and surrounded by his caring family and Hospice caregivers.

Born in Providence on February 7, 1956, to the late Joseph Ralph and Frances (Machado) Pine, he was raised and educated in the capital City, leaving high school prematurely to enlist in the United States Marine Corps, in which he proudly served his Country during the Vietnam Conflict. Thereafter, he remained a true patriot for the rest of his life!

A man of many interests and talents, he was always ambitious and hardworking; he was engaged in and enjoyed a variety of occupations & opportunities during his career: a delivery driver for Petro, Inc., a long-haul, coast to coast, 'big rig' trucker, a logistics specialist at the RI Food Bank, a machine operator at Borg-Warner Corporation, a patient transporter at the Providence Veterans' Administration Hospital, and a telecom/cabling most notably involved in installation activities along the Internet Super Highway and at the ill-fated Twin Towers in NYC's Financial District. In addition, he was continually employed as a longshoreman throughout his working life until just recently.

Bob had a lifelong affinity and enthusiasm for "anything musical"; he enjoyed Rock, Country, and, of course, "Oldies", and could sing and play several instruments including the piano, guitar, and drums. A masterful amateur chef, his specialties were shepherds' pie, French toast, doughboys, and pizza, to name a few. A real 'people person', he had 'a vast collection' of good and true friends from various walks of life, all of whom he cherished and thoroughly enjoyed and by whom he'll be sorely missed but fondly remembered.

In addition to his wife, Christine Alice (Fisher) Callahan-Pine, he is survived by his children Tracy and Matthew Pine; his sisters, Deborah Thibeault and Donna Darcy; his brother, Joseph Pine; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Rivera. Also mourning his passing are his stepdaughters, Tina Marie Coutu and Missy Marston, and several grand- & great grand-step children.

Arrangements for Bob's funeral have been entrusted to the Berarducci Funeral Home which will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Faith Chapel, 43 Scituate Avenue, Cranston, beginning with visitation at 9:00a.m. and a Memorial Service officiated by Pastor John J. Black at 10:00a.m. to which relatives and friends are cordially invited. Burial with full military honors at RI Veterans' Cemetery in Exeter will immediately follow.

Condolences and memories may be shared at [providencecremation.com]. As an alternative to flowers and to honor Bob's love of animals, memorial contributions to the RISPCA, 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886 would be appreciated. Rest in peace, Bob!
