Alex Schwartz Obituary

Alex Schwartz, 90, of Palm Desert, CA passed away January 15, 2007 in Palm Desert, CA. He was born in New York, NY. He married Alice Gelfond on October 19, 1946 in New York, NY.

Alex was a prominent member of Temple Beth Shalom where he served as a pillar in the congregation. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Schwartz; daughters Marlene Ehrens of Palm Desert, CA and Barbara Feldman of N. Potomac, MD; son Dr. Leonard Schwartz of Rancho Mirage, CA; 6 grand-children: Matthew and Lisa Ehrens, Stephanie and David Schwartz, Joshua and Erica Feldman.

Memorial services were held January 18, 2007 at Forest Lawn.

The family suggests donations be made to Eisenhower Memorial Hospital, Rancho Mirage, CA.
