Andrew Matuska

Born to Michael and Susan Matuska, in Ohio, November 27, 1923. Passed away on October 13, 2015 in Cathedral City, Calif. at the age of 91. Andrew was one of ten siblings. In his years in Fort Wayne, Ind. he loved playing country music on his guitar with Andy Martin and The Country Cadillacs. Retired in 1984 from Rea Magnet Wire, Indiana. In his retirement, he was known as the "Bingo Caller" at the Joslyn Center, Palm Desert, Calif. A devout catholic, he regularly attended church at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta, Calif. Preceded in death by wife, Anne Matuska, and wife, Ellen; son, Andrew William "Bill" Matuska; and daughter, Cynthia Ann Wasserman. Survived by sons, Robert Matuska, of Indio, Calif, Mark (Nita) Matuska of Fort Wayne, Ind, Stan (Theresa) Matuska of Queen Creek, Ariz, Kevin (Lesley) Matuska of Fort Wayne, Ind; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation held, Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Coachella Chapel at Forest Lawn, Coachella, Calif. Funeral Service held, Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:30 am in the Coachella Chapel at Forest Lawn Chapel, Coachella, with graveside to follow at Coachella Valley Cemetery in Coachella. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Forest Lawn Indio.
