Barbara Frank Obituary
Palm Desert - On October 26th a bright light was added to the Stars.
Barbara Karen Frank "Barbie"
Born December 17th 1954 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. To Leroy and Lorr Frank. Leroy was an army lieutenant during World War II, that fell in love with his persistent secretary Lore. Lore a German citizen immigrated after the war to marry and start a family. The Frank family explored the world with Colonel Frank until his retirement. When they settled as a family in Redlands California.
Barbara was the daughter of a beautiful true love.
Spending her summers in Germany with family she became fluent in German and developed a lifelong passion for travel and adventure.
After graduating high school in Redlands she pursued her dream of becoming a nurse, attending College of the Desert in 1979 and finishing her degree at California State University San Bernardino in 1983.
For over 30 years Barbara served in the healthcare sector in Palm Springs. Touching many lives as a nurse, role model and wonderful friend. A driven and compassionate woman with a radiant smile. Barbara will be missed as she was so loved in life.
Barbie guided her family with Grace and light. She was the strength and anchor of the Frank family.
Barbie leaves behind her precious cats Gucci and Perky.
And is survived by her brother Steven Frank and his children.
As well as extended family in Illinois and Germany.
Graveside service will be held at Desert Memorial Park on Monday, November 16th at 1:30 p.m.
