Betty Peterson Obituary

Betty Helen Peterson, passed away peacefully in her sleep, May 26, 2013. Betty was born in Big Timber Montana, April 2, 1929. A resident of Cathedral City, Mrs. Peterson has been lovingly cared for by Maria and Eric Ogaard of Absolute Desert Care in Rancho Mirage since September. Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Max, who passed away in 2006. Since Max's passing, Betty has enjoyed the company of her many good friends, and her pet poodle, Kiki. During their long marriage, Betty and Max traveled widely and enjoyed their beautiful homes in Claremont and Lake Arrowhead, California, Pocatello, Idaho, and Las Vegas, Nevada. As long time residents of the Date Palm Country Club in Cathedral City, they enjoyed playing golf and socializing with their many good friends. Betty especially enjoyed decorating their golf cart for the annual Christmas Caroling Parade. Her Christmas trees were always works of art. Betty is survived by sixteen nieces and nephews, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jay and Zelpha Peterson of Sun City, and brother-in-law Charles Overdorf of Santee. Betty will be interred alongside Max at Riverside National Cemetery. To view and sign this guestbook, please visit: mydesert.com/obituaries
