Carl Hagen Bergersen

Carl Hagen Bergersen, of Palm Desert CA, passed away peacefully with his wife Carrie by his side on January 6, 2017. Born March 12, 1927 in Chicago, IL to Carl Trygue and Marguerite (Hagen) Bergersen. He was raised in Oak Park, IL and graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1951.

Carl was a purchasing agent at various manufacturing companies but spent 35 years at Prudential Insurance Company in Los Angeles. His favorite past time was golf and was a talented pianist and organist who was requested to play for friends over the years.

Carl and Carrie have been married 46 years and have had residency in Palm Desert since 1972. He is survived by a daughter Laura Bergersen; son Paul Bergersen, daughter-in-law Sandy, and grandchildren Robert and Michael.

Services for Carl will be held on February 2, 2017 at 2:00PM at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 47355 State Highway 74, Palm Desert, CA 92260.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Margaret's Church http://www.stmargarets.org where Carl attended every Sunday up in the balcony where he could hear the music that he loved so much.
