Charles Box Obituary

Charles Box Sr., 76, of Beaumont, Calif. passed away December 20, 2010 of natural causes. He was born January 15, 1934 to John and Juanita Alvarado Box in San Juan, Texas. Charles served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 with the rank of PFC. He married Elsa Barron on January 13, 1968 in Imperial, Calif. He was self employed in custom construction for 35 years. Charles is survived by his wife, Elsa B. Box of Indio, Calif.; sons, Charlie (Carina) Box Jr. of Cathedral City, Calif., Edward (Melizza) Box of Coachella, Calif., Johnny Anthony Box of Indio, and Jose Francisco (Nicole) Box of La Quinta, Calif.; sisters, Dora Rodriquez and Sarah Valdez, both of Indio and Linda Ponder (Dennis) of Utah; brothers, Oscar (Dora) Box of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Adam Box of San Francisco, Calif.; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Florinda Silva and a brother, John Box III. Memorial services were held on December 29, 2010 at Forest Lawn in Indio.
