Cliff Shinn Obituary

Cliff L. Shinn. A much loved husband, father and grandfather, Cliff Shinn was born in California in 1924. A life full of passion and adventure, Cliff was in the Navy at Pearl Harbor during World War II. He enjoyed a varied and very successful career- his greatest loves were engineering and flying. He even built his own planes. His work was featured in the US Space Program, where he developed equipment for the lunar landing module. Ever the entrepreneur, Cliff was at one time an attorney and an actor. He was a master mason, a keen ham radio operator and an avid sportsman, enjoying golf and marathon running. Cliff was a very dear husband to Mary, father to Camie, Doug and the late Cliff Jr, and grandfather of Jamie and Jason. Sadly missed and forever in their thoughts, his life was full of love and laughter. His wish was for a party, so no flowers please.

Cliff was a dear friend and a person I admired and respected for many years. He had a brilliant mind and a terrific sense of humor and you always had a good time when you were with him. He had many wonderful accomplishments but was a very humble man and most people had no idea of his many interests. Cliff was always there for me and I will miss him immensely. Rest in peace my friend.
