Dear Diane,
It has been many years since I've seen or spoken to you. I'm so sorry to hear about Danny. I have some very good memories of him. He was the most gentle man I've ever known. He took me to the prom in high school (before you and he met of course) and was always such a good friend. My heart goes out to you and the children. You all are in my prayers.

Diane, Though I hadn't seen you and Dan in quite a few years, I have so many fond memories from our youth group days. As someone else said, Dan was a "gentle giant" of a man with a wonderful sense of humor and love of life and his Lord. It always amused me that he could sneeze whenever he wanted just by looking at the sun! I pray our Lord will comfort and minister to you and your family according to your individual needs.

Diane, Becky & Philip,
I met Dan more than 16 years ago when we were working for the same AV company here in the desert and counted him then and now as a man of integrity and honesty, a supportive co-worker, colleague and friend. Dan was one of the kindest persons I know and was always considerate, even in stressful times and had a big smile and a joke to tell every time we met. He was one of the most respected 'good-guys' in our business whose word was his bond and was always shown through his strong work ethic and many kind deeds.
Dan always spoke lovingly of you Diane and his family and how there never seemed to be enough time to spend with you given the demands of the service industry in which we worked. I never knew him to speak ill of another person even when it was deserved or hold a grudge when others were unkind to him or took advantage of his many kindnesses and considerations. The sudden loss of this gentle giant of a man is tragic in its timing and thought-provoking how this vital man could be taken from us so soon. His presence and contributions to his family, friends and colleagues will be greatly missed. I'll miss looking up to Dan who was tall in stature, but also an honor bound Goliath.
As I was unable to attend his memorial, please accept my sincerest condolences on your family's great loss.

Diane,
I was so sorry to hear about Dan. I hadn't seen him in a long time but kept up on his life through Paul and Wendy. I remember him as being a true man of God and we had some fun times in youth group. He taught us all what it was like to have a personal relationship with Jesus. I am praying for you and the kids. (I used to babysit Phillip and Becky when you and Dan had date nights...I still think of them as "kids.") May God give you strength through this time.

Diane and family, although it has been many years since I have seen you, Diane, I may have met your children once or twice. But it was just a few years ago that I saw Dan playing penny poker with "the boys". He looked the same as usual, just a bit older. Still had the same great humor and of course that big laugh that we all cherish.
But, what I remember most was his dedication to teaching us unruly kids in youth group. He was a great inspiration and I look back at those times with many great memories. I remember the camping trip to Mammoth Mountain, the ghost town, and the hike to rainbow falls. It took much patience to put up with a bunch of teenagers, but, then again, Dan was still a teenager at heart being just a few years older than most of us. And, of course, behind a good man is a good woman. Thanks for helping to make Dan what he was and what all of us will remember him as. Until that day we meet him again, memories will have to suffice.
I've posted a couple of pictures from the past that I think many of us will remember. As soon as I find my misplaced photo album, I will post a few more.
Take care and God Bless you and your family during this difficult time!

Diane-Although I had only been with Dan a few times, the times I DID spend with you and him, it was truly a pleasure. You have been in my thoughts and prayers, and I know GOD will watch over you and the family. Be strong, and may GOD Bless you. I know he will be missed, but just remember this, "He is not gone, he is just away."

Diane and family you have my deepest condolences! Even though we are assured we will see Danny again in heaven and that he is in a much better place. It is hard not to feel a loss. Danny was one of the truest Christ-like examples I have ever known. The sun just seems to shine less brightly knowing he is no longer with us!

Many of us who now miss and honor Dan knew him from our youth group some thirty years ago. Dan was our big guy, but that was not just from his size.
His big sense of humour, his big heart in that he would do just about anything to help the group, his big desire to let the Lord rule his heart and mind. He became a pillar supported by the foundation of our Lord who who then supported the fellowship by giving more than he asked for.
In every piece of news I have heard since those years, Dan and Diane have lived their lives faithfully reflecting the light and love of Jesus, and Diane, though Dan's race has now ended with Jesus hugginng him at the finish line, may the Grace and Love of our lord Bind you and your family together in His Love and give you His Peace.

Diane, Becki, & Philip ~ Danny was instrumental in bringing me to the Lord (although he may not have even realized), and in helping raise me to have a close relationship with God. Dan was there for the funnest of times, and present whenever I needed a friend. He was a godly man who left an amazing inprint on many lives. May you experience the peace that passes all understanding.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan for the past three years as his assistant. He was a man that was respected by us all. We looked to him for guidance and advice and he was always there. There was nothing that we wouldn't do for Dan or that he wouldn't do for us. He talked of his family often and we knew what love he had for you all. We shall all miss him. Wow, I had'nt seen Dan in Quite a while but had emailed with him over a recent illness and he had encouraged me quite a bit. I had just set up a June camping trip with Dan and Steve (Burrows) and was really looking forward to it. Dan will be missed greatly but I know I will camp with him again one day. I have spent the last few days telling stories about all the time I spent with Dan and laughing about them. Diane, We have been praying for you and the Kids since I got the news and we will continue. We know Dan is in the most wonderful place with our Lord and Saviour, Paul.

We love you very, very much and will miss you so...
Along with your many other disciples, You taught us so many wonderful, wonderful things not just about AV, but about living a Christian life, being a good husband and father...
Many moons ago, you referenced the book of Jeremiah, a passage that I strive to follow each and every day of my life: Jeremiah29v11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
I know that you are comfortable, resting in the hollow of His hand...
You are a great man, Dan. You will be truly missed by all of us...
