Daniel Ryan Obituary
April 17, 1947 - August 19, 2015
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on September 19th at Southwest Church in Indian Wells. Dan passed away August 19, 2015 in Rancho Mirage at age 68. He was born April 17, 1947, in the Old St. Vincent's Hospital, Portland, Oregon. He graduated from Central Catholic High School and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona. He is survived by his daughter, Kathryn "Kate" Ryan-Bevanda-Lundin (husband, Par Gustaf Lundin); grandson, Gustaf Evan Lundin; sisters, Coral Shipley (Jim) of Seaside, Oregon and Sister Mary Ryan of Portland, Oregon; brothers, Billy (Kathy), Patrick, Timothy (Laurie) of Portland, Oregon and Thomas of Seaside, Oregon, and many loving nieces and nephews. Daniel was an investment banker, athlete, actor, model, and professional chauffeur. He was a member of AA for 42 years and also a speaker and a sober coach. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville William Ryan and Coral Rose Ryan, and his brother, Michael Ryan. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alcoholics Anonymous central office in Cathedral City, California, 760 324-4880.

Sorry I could not get to Indian Wells. I was there in ICU on Wednesday, and am glad that I went. I thought you were going to pull thru, and we would have time to play golf at Tahquitz Creek. I guess we'll have to play in the clouds now. God Bless, Richard

Danny was a dear friend from when we were in grade school and will be missed by all of us who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace and prayers go out to his family.

I will miss Dan. I spent a lot of time with him at St Phillip Neri grade school and at our stay at Central Catholic and have found memories and some great stories.
