Delores Chrisman Obituary
Our precious Mom passed peacefully on July 28, 2017. She was born in Dickinson, ND to Peter and Elizabeth Hatzenbuhler. As a teenager, Delores moved to Lodi, CA where she graduated from Lodi High School. Mom met Dad in Lodi and they settled in Pleasant Hill to raise their 4 children before retiring to Palm Desert.
Mom worked in retail starting at Montgomery Ward and ending her career as a managerial buyer for Fine Jewelry at Bullocks. A few years after retiring, she taught ROP classes and excelled in a whole new avenue. Once in Palm Desert, she took on the role of lady at leisure - shopping, golfing, playing bridge.
Delores, known as Dee in the desert, had close and lasting friendships with her bridge groups, lunch bunch buddies and church community, St Francis of Assisi in La Quinta, where she was a dedicated parishioner and served as a Eucharistic Minister to the sick.
Family was most important to Mom. She was adored by her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; daughter, Kathy McKinnon; brothers Lloyd, John and Erv; sisters Marian Christolos and Betty Zavadil. She will be forever missed by her loving family - sister, Violet Bittenbinder; son, Ken; daughters, Janet (Judy) and Diana (Steve) Hagenbaugh; grandchildren, Nicki (Vito) Impastato, Jesse (Annukka) McKinnon, Michael (Concepcion) Chrisman, Conny (Monté) Reed, Kristina (Joe) Koch and 12 great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
A mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 at 10am at Christ the King Catholic Church located at 199 Brandon Rd, Pleasant Hill, CA with a reception to follow in the hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice.

Was always so kind and sweet, always had something good to say and would cheer you up the moment you started talking to her.I was glad that I got to see her lately even know it wasn't the best circumstances at other funerals.I know God has a big mansion for her with the rest of our family.
