I am very sorry for your great loss ! I am heartbroken As an old high school friend who lost contact shortly after he left the military I have been trying to find Ed for years. He was perhaps my best friend in school and we had many great adventures together. Ed always knew how to keep us entertained. I was always amazed by his ability to talk to complete strangers and walk away with new friends. I am certain Ed continued to bring joy to many more lives as an adult. I hope your family can at least find a little comfort in knowing how well he lived and that he will be missed by many, many others whose lives he touched.

Dear Caryn:
I am so sorry to hear of your tragic loss. I only met Ed once, at a Meyer-Luce Christmas party, but he was such a delight to meet and it was very clear he was very much in love with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Jack and Grant at this difficult time.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Ed. I met Ed while working at The Olive Garden years ago. He was so kind and friendly, a true pleasure to work with. He was always there to help me when I needed it. Years later, I worked with him again at Agua Caliente Casino where he was a cook. He always talked so fondly of his children and family. He said they were his life. I will never forget him. He was a sincere, genuine person. That is a rare person in this world. My prayers are with you and your family.

I am sad to see the loss of such a good, young man. Ed worked for me at the Olive Garden retaurant in Palm Desert, many years ago. He was a great, enthusiastic guy, full of life and the drive to do right, so hard to find in people these days. When Ed was at work I knew things would go well. His guest would be happy and the team and operation would run smoothly with his presence. Many times, due to his professionalism, mental and physical presence, guest and even fellow employees would think Ed was a manager. I was always pleased by this and think back at the great times we had working in that challenging environment. I ran into Ed a few times since then and it was always a joy to hear of his adventures and especially to witness his enthusiasm for family, friends and life! We are going to miss him. God bless.
