Though I've only met Gene briefly, I thought him to be a very kind and gentle man. My thoughts are with his family at this time. He will be missed.

Gene tended to all of us as lovingly as he nurtured his garden. We will forever be blessed by his kindness and caring.

What a pleasure to have known Gene. How lucky to have enjoyed at the hotel with him, Roger, sister Jean, along with a few other friends, a delightful Sunday afternoon cookout less than a month ago. He enjoyed people and in so doing, how everyone enjoyed him. He will be missed.
