Frances Arias Obituary
Frances Otton Arias of Thermal, CA. passed into our Lord's Kingdom on March 7, 2015 where she is now reunited with the love of her life, Ruben Ortiz Arias. Frances was 91 years old and was born in Phoenix, AZ. She was three years old when her family moved to the Coachella Valley. Frances chose the nursing profession as a career where she worked in the Obstetric Department of various hospitals in Indio. She was very dedicated during her forty plus years of service. Many mothers mentioned to our family how grateful they were because of her compassion in taking care of them during their deliveries and caring for their newborn. Frances enjoyed her life on the Arias Ranch with her family, taking care of her husband, tending to her garden, parakeets and dogs. She also enjoyed cooking and visiting with family and friends. Her door was always open and she made everyone feel welcome. She is survived by her sister Josie Hernandez. Her children are: Ruben Jr. (Carole), Gabriel (Eleanor), Lynda Pacheco (Cutberto), Patrick (Diane), Daniel (Donna), and her daughter-in-law Diane Hernandez Arias. Grandchildren: Brandon, Brett, Antonio, Gabriel Jr.,Ruben and Andrew Pacheco, Valerie, Erika, Patrick, Arleen, Daniel Jr., Brianna, Joshua, Andrew and Katie Rose. Great Grandchildren: Dominic, Brody, Aaliyah, Rose Marie, Antonio Jr., Alexander and Nathan. She is preceded in death by her husband Ruben and her son David Andrew, her grandchildren Cutberto Pacheco Jr. and Matthew Paul Arias, her parents Juan and Eloisa Otton and her three brothers and three sisters. Services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on March 20, 2015. Viewing will be from 10:30 am to 11:15 am with a Rosary and Eulogy to follow. Mass will be at Noon with a cemetery service to follow at the Coachella Valley Cemetery in Coachella. FitzHenry-Wiefels of Indio is in charge of the funeral arrangements. At Frances' request, in lieu of flowers you may send donations to Our Lady of Perpetual Help School at 82-470 Bliss Ave. Indio, CA. 92201, attention Tuition Assistance Fund c/o Frances Arias.

Diane, Drew & KT Rose, and the entire family of Ruben & Frances Arias, my dad (Nasario) and I are very sorry for your loss of Frances. She was such a wonderful woman, I loved going to the Ranch especially talking to Frances at the table. She is in heaven with my mom and Mr. Arias was there waiting. I pray daily for the Lord to guide you as well as your entire family through this difficult time of loss. I can picture her dancing with her soul mate.
