With the loss of George, it may seem like winter has come to stay, but take comfoft in your memories and hold tight to the knowledge that spring will come again.

I was saddened to learn of George's death from a fellow co-worker. George's gentle spirit, light heart in the face of many challenges, and love for his family are evidence of his love for Our Lord Jesus. George "walked the walk", tough to do, but he did it. My condolences to the Davis family and to all who will miss George's shining light.

I am so saddened by the news of George's passing. I had no idea that he had gone home to be with our Father. I have known George for years and during that time, each and every time I would see him I got a warm smile, some kind words, and saw the evidence of Gods love. You will be greatly missed George.... Minister Davis was a beautiful person who had a kind word for everyone he met. I think my mom put it best when she said " If we dont know anything else about Minister Davis its that he knew 66 books....and he loved them all." In church he started every sentence in reference to the Bible with "my favorite scripture"....I have had the pleasure of knowing Minister Davis since before I was a teenager and at a young age I knew that he loved the Lord with all his heart.
He will be missed by all who knew him.Heaven has just welcomed their friendliest angel. May God continue to bless his family. May God comfort you in this your time of need as we all struggle to accept and understand.

Brother George,
I will truly miss your greeting and humor every time we saw one another. I know you're with our Father now, so my heart will be at rest when I don't see you and your smile just inside those doors at walmart, I do however, look forward to seeing you again. Another one of the good guys has gone. I always appreciated George's sincere greeting at Wal-Mart, or other places in the community. A true gentleman. He will be missed.

My thougts and prayers are with George's family. I worked with George almost 30 years ago at B of A. He was then and to the day of his passing one of the nicest, most compationate person I have had the privilege of knowing. I will truly miss his greeting at Walmart, but look forward to his greeting in Heaven.

I knew George before i started working at Wal-Mart. I will truly miss the great attitude that George had everyday that i would see him as i walked in to work. He is one of the reasons i started my workday with a huge smile. He will be watching over all of us.

Minister Davis was a caring and godly man. His consistent prayers on my behalf during my recent illness comforted my wife and myself. When I was in the hospital and upon my return home, Minister Davis called weekly to read the scripture to me. Those calls always brightened my spirit. May God be with his family during this difficult time. Minister Davis will truly be missed.

I met George 4 yrs ago. He became my friend. He prayed with and for me many times. I will miss him so much. I wont be going to Walmart for a very long time. Without his smile and hugs it seems so empty.

Dear family, Faye and Bob,
I just want you all to know what a light and a blessing George always was to me. I would see him all over the place but mostly in Walmart of course. He always expressed the love of the Lord just with his sincere greeting and exchange. We did NOT personally know Mr. Davis but our family will deeply miss George and his BIG smile and warmth at La Quinta Wal-Mart. We always looked forward to seeing George. May his family find comfort in the memories.

I didn't know Minister George Davis, but I knew his Brother Forest. From what my wife Barbara Maples Riggins told me, he was a good person.

I was sorry to hear of George’s passing. I have many fond memories of George when I was his neighbor in Indio on Via Genoa. He was very well liked and respected. My sincere Sympathy goes out to Travis and all of George’s family.

Oh my gosh, I was so sad to hear of George's passing. George was so wonderful and cheerful. I will always miss his warm smile whenever I shop at Walmart. What a huge loss. I had the privilege many years ago of getting to know George while working in banking in the Indio area and more recently seeing him at Walmart a few times a week. As you know he always had a smile and a friendly greeting and I have been so thankful for our friendship.

I will miss my big brother, and close friend. I will miss the comfort he gave with his beautiful spirit, only few possess. The wonderful words of encouragement he would speak from his "favorite scripture of bible."
He will be missed, but not forgotten. May the Lord bless the Davis family during this difficult transition, and continue to keep them in His love and care.
Minister Davis fought a good fight, finished his course, he kept the faith.
