Helen Osborne Obituary

Helen "Betty" Osborne

Palm Desert - Helen "Betty" Osborne, 98, passed away on January 18, 2019 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her brother Robert (Doris) Witherow, sister Anna Christiansen, sons Terry (Carol) Osborne and Richard (Jan) Osborne, 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

While raising Terry and Richard, Betty started her secretarial career at Hughes Aircraft company in 1958. She started at the entry level position and over her 28 years with Hughes she was prompted to the highest level executive assistant. Betty's career didn't end with her retirement from Hughes Aircraft. In 1987, she moved to Palm Desert to be close to family and start working with Richard in his CPA firm. She was still going to work at least once a week up until her passing. Many of Richard's clients enjoyed going Into the office just to visit and spend time with her.

Betty was the heart and soul of our family. She believed in taking care of the family, and making long lasting memories. She was always telling the boys to go to school, but they went surfing instead. She would tell the grandkids to go to bed, but they preferred having a pillow fight with 20 year old pillows. She loved watching her favorite game show after dinner and now everyone loves to do the same.

Every member of the family knew how much she loved them. God blessed us with 98 great years and "Oh my goodness" she will be missed but never forgotten.
