Isabelle De La Rosa Obituary
Isabelle Eiswerth De La Rosa, 91, of Cathedral City, Calif. passed away March 7, 2016 in Cathedral City of natural causes. She was born October 8, 1924 to Roman Eiswerth and Theora Goldy Eiswerth in Williamsport, Pa. She married Dr. Waldemar Dahl in 1950 in Bremen, West Germany. She married Gabriel De La Rosa in 1977 in Palm Springs, Calif. She was a school teacher for 32 years and a licensed Lab Technician for over 10 years. She served with the Cathedral City Citizens on Patrol for over 12 years. She was a member of St. Theresa Parish and also St. Louis Catholic Church. She is survived by daughter, Estelle Dahl of Indio Hills, Calif.; son, Walden Dahl of Victorville, Calif.; brothers, Leon Eiswerth of Cleveland, Ohio and Charles Eiswerth of Sarasota, Fla. She was preceded in death by first spouse, Dr. Waldemar Dahl and her second spouse, Gabriel De La Rosa. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Louis Catholic Church in Cathedral City, followed by Interment immediately after funeral service at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Bright Focus Foundation -Macular Degeneration Research (donations can be made online), or to Animal Samaritans of the Desert.

Isabella and I taught at Hoover Elementary School for many years. As a bilingual instructor she was loved by the children she taught. She will be missed and always loved. RIP

To Isabelle De La Rosa's family, Estelle and Walden, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing and send my sincere condolences . I taught 5th grade with her at Hoover School in Indio from 1973 when I began my career. We enjoyed discussing many science ideas and going into space.
