In his career, Jim had a commitment for children, education and schools which he carried throughout his life. He himself was a graduate of Long Beach State, and received a doctorate from the University of Southern California. In his work, he visited many of the schools throughout California.
Jim's hobbies and passions included friends, tennis, and travel. He valued greatly the friendships here in Palm Desert, as well as the other places he lived. He always saw the best in people, and appreciated all for who they were. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
There will be a memorial celebration on March 11, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Silver Sands Racquet Club in Palm Desert.
