Javier Miranda Obituary

Javier Miranda

It is with great sadness that the family of Javier Miranda announces that he passed away peacefully in his home on March 26, 2020 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 58 years old. His life revolved around his family and is survived by his parents Jose and Belia Miranda, his brother Ruben Miranda, his wife of 35 years Maria Teresa Miranda, his children Mark (Jesenia) Miranda and Marie Alex (Antonio) Rodriguez, and his 4 grandchildren Miranda, Xavier, June and Aaron.

Javier worked for 32 years at the Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD) where he achieved many goals beginning at an entry level position as he would call it "on the shovel" and climbed the ranks to Director of Trades and Support. He retired in 2017, at the age of 55 and assumed his new role at home as GDad, as his grandchildren affectionately called him. He transported them to and from school and everywhere else in the GDad Bus.

Javier will be greatly missed by his entire family and due to the recent times a Celebration of Life is being planned for the appropriate future.

Nothing new, same as last year. I miss you, I wish we could talk. Even if I caught you in a grumpy moment. I also continue to miss Mom and Dad, I ask God that you three are in his presence and that someday we can all see each other again. Until then J.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend Javier. My sister and I grew-up in North Side Indio with plenty of friends that included Javier and Ruben. We will never forget those childhood years as we laughed, & played, rode bikes and ate lots of ice-cream from Tom's truck. (He was our neighbor). We all just simply became family. He was one of those friends that you never forget. He will surely be missed by all of us, who had the pleasure of growing up with a fine young man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, children and all of the Miranda Family. May the Lord give you strenght and.may you find peace during this difficult time. God bless you all❤
