Julian Kleinman Obituary

Julian Kleinman, 84, of Palm Desert passed away on Dec. 13, 2008 in Palm Desert. He was born Feb. 25, 1924, to Isadore and Bertha Kleinman in Brooklyn, N.Y. Julian attended Boys High School and later Brooklyn College. He married Claire Sinoff Kleinman on Sept. 22, 1981 in Los Angeles. For many years he was in sales and later he became a real estate appraiser. He served in the U.S. Air Force in WWII, stationed in England. Julian was an excellent athlete and one of his greatest joys was playing tennis with his friends. Julian was a kind and loving soul, a devoted husband and true gentleman. He is survived by his wife, Claire Kleinman; step-daughters; Jodi Sinoff and spouse Rodney, Jill Jaman and spouse Robert; sons, Dr. Robert Kleinman and wife Debra, Dr. Jeff Kleinman and wife Jody and Gary Kleinman; sister Elaine Kleinman; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Blanche Sylvia Kleinman. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tues., Dec. 16, 2008 at Forest Lawn Cathedral City. The family suggests donations be made to Odyssey Health Care Foundation, 71-777 San Jacinto Dr., Rancho Mirage, CA 92270. Forest Lawn Cathedral City is in charge of arrangements. "Siempre Estaras en Mi Corazon."
