With great sadness and with tears in my eyes I write this. We have been living in Ajijic, Mexico for 15 years and just learned of your loss as well as the passing of Maude. What wonderful memories we have of those glorious fun filed years at 1418. Ken was a wonderful person and I can still hear his laughter. We loved you guys as much as we loved Vera and SD. Our sincerest condolences, as late as they are, and we hope you have managed to survive your great loss by focusing on treasured memories of your joyful and enduring relationship.

I have thought of Ken many, many times over the years since he retired from Gulf/Chevron, and was saddened to hear of his passing. I am one of the many (then) young Gulf attorneys Ken helped learn how to practice law. He was a master mentor and encourager, as well as a wonderful, skilled attorney with the highest professional and ethical standards, as well as abundant common sense. Bob, God's grace and peace to you as you experience and grieve this loss more than any of us.

Bob,
I vaguely remember meeting Kenneth when Steph and I visited you in Houston. He had a very kind voice and everytime I called and spoke with him he was very accommodating. I'll miss talking to him. Richard remarked that he regrets that he did not have the opportunity to meet such a fine, intelligent man.
Sent with much love.

Dear Bob, My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Ken was such a wonderful, enjoyable man! I always enjoyed his easy smile and southern drawl. He was constantly upbeat and postive with rarely, if ever, a negative thing to say about anyone. I'll miss seeing him sitting behind us in church on Sundays.

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Ken was a wonderful human being, full of life, love and laughter. My 15 years practicing law with Ken at Gulf Oil were most memorable. He was a terrific mentor and highly skilled attorney who was valued by his clients and law partners alike. You and Ken were inspirations to so many of us who knew you as a couple and as frineds. Ken will be missed by all those he touched.

Kenneth was a quality, strong person who positively influenced many of us around him. I often recall the times we spent together -- on Friday evenings playing pool and going to El Patio or that little Chinese cafe on Elgin – and a thousand other times. They were good times and I will always be grateful for the good memories. We are proud of you and Ken and feel blessed to have had you in our lives. Harry Guyton and Mark Paris

Ken, without your leadership the Prime Timers would not be the fine organization it is. There would have been no Rainbow Senior Center without your inspiration and perspiration. Your moral compass was always infalibile, and you kept alotof us out of trouble. I'll miss your friendship and inspiration. You always had time for a story, a joke, any way of making this life better and lighter. You were so blessed to have Bob all these years, and your relationship is a model for us all.
