Kimi Cunningham Obituary
Rancho Mirage - Kimi G. Cunningham of Rancho Mirage and Playa del Ray passed away suddenly at her home in Mirage Cove from an apparent cardiac event on March 18. The official cause of death is pending. Kimi was the daughter of the late Gerhard and Jane Hoelter of Weston, Connecticut originally from Lake Forest, Illinois. After graduating from the University of Connecticut, Kimi joined the Hartford Ballet as a member of their dance company. She then turned to the pursuit of a career in law. She was accepted to the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law and became a member of the New York Bar Association. In the course of Kimi's professional life, she focused on legal affairs for many of the major entertainment organizations in New York and Los Angeles. Kimi is survived by her spouse, Michael Quinn, her brother Kurt Hoelter of Canaan, New York, and the friends, neighbors and family by whom she will be deeply missed.

I just saw Kimi’s obituary and was saddened to learn of her untimely passing in 2018. She was a good friend in our Westport, CT close high school crowd. I remember Kimi as kind, fun and beautiful with a wonderful smile and sense of humor. She was a special person and friend. I wish I had stayed in touch with her over the years. RIP Kimi

Kimi...My aunt, my family. After hearing of Kimi moving outward and onward, I was soul-shakened. It was so much more than surreal, the news. If there's such a thing. Missed opportunities of laughs, love and good food. She was an awesome chef, a sweetheart to talk to and have a laugh with. A rare delight, indeed.
I do not mourn for her. I am not sad my auntI has moved on. I believe she'll continue to do good work and be a guide beyond the beyond of beyond. I wager she basks with my Opah and Oma in warm blissful light everlasting. I'll miss you Aunt Kimi...my family.
