Mary Rodriguez Obituary

Mary Ortiz Rodriguez of Coachella, Calif. passed away August 8, 2010 at her residence in Coachella. She was born September 14, 1933 to Donacio Ortiz and Cesaria Munoz in Indio, Calif. Mary married Charles R. Rodriguez on July 24, 1955 in Indio. She was employed as a packer for Cardinal Co. for ten years. Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Basquez of La Quinta, Calif. and Lisa Ortega of Bermuda Dunes, Calif.; sons, Charles Rodriguez Jr. of La Quinta, Leonard Rodriguez of Coachella and Edward Rodriguez of Indio; sister, Adela Ortiz of Indio; and brother, Phillip Ortiz of Thermal, Calif. In addition, she also leaves 20 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grand-children. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Ortiz who passed away in 2008. A Visitation will be held at Casillas Family Funeral Home on August 16, 2010 from 4-9:00 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Soledad Church in Coachella on August 17, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at the Coachella Valley Cemetery.
