Rick Jervis

La Quinta - Rick Jervis, 64, of La Quinta CA. Born and raised in Savannah Georgia, March 12, 1954; left to be with the Lord on November 15th, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents Joe Wayne and Geraldine Jervis and son Aaron Jervis. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Julie Jervis. He is also survived by four children, son Richie (Kelly), daughter Amy Donahue (Stephen), son Matt (Ashlee), and son Kevin. Three granddaughters and two grandsons.

He graduated from Savannah High School in 1972 and attended Armstrong Atlantic University sometime afterwards. From 1983-1988 he worked with Yamaha International in Buena Park where he met his wife, Julie. He graduated in 1994, from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, now known as Western University of Health Sciences. He practiced Family, Dermatology, and Emergency Medicine passionately across the Coachella Valley since 1994. He found his home at Executive Urgent Care in Indian Wells, where he developed a unique and powerful bond with all who worked there. Displaying his compassion and drive to improve the circumstances to all that he had under his care.

He enjoyed deer, dove, and duck hunting; fishing in the Sierras; and listening to light jazz. He was a member of Southwest Church, occasionally played bass guitar in the band and participated in several Christmas programs.

The service will be held at Southwest Community Church on November 24, 2018 at 11:00am.

Final resting place will be in Savannah, GA.

In lieu of flowers, family has asked that donations be made to the Pendleton Foundation.

Dr Jervis was there when I went to Kerrigan Family medicine in 2010 with a lump under my jaw. He immediately recognized what we were facing, and got me an expedited MRI at JFK within hours. Ultimately it was advanced Stage 4 head and neck cancer. I sit here 13 years later finding this news. RIP Doc. I´ve thought of you often. You helped save my life.

Rick was my dermotolgy Dr. At Kerrigan and I missed him when he left. I asked him how do you treat so many different ailments and he replied, I would be bored doing the same thing every day. He was a really good person in Urgent Care.

Dr. Jervis was a pretty great guy. I was his patient for a while and he was very thoughtful and compassionate. He was also pretty funny too. That made going to see him a pleasure during a tough time. I am grateful that I was able to share the time that I did with Dr. Jervis and am saddened to hear of his passing. Thank you for all that you did Dr.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Rick. I had the privilege and blessing to serve alongside him in church ministry and to know him in the work place. A tender and kind heart he wore with a smile and calm spirit. I have always admired his love of God, family and our country. He made a difference in the Kingdom of God on this side of heaven. I believe Rick was welcomed with open arms by our Savior, "well done good and faithful servant." You will be deeply missed, yet we will see you again, Rick. I offer prayers to our God on behalf of the family at this difficult hour.

He was more than my P.A. for years in the desert form Milligan Dermatology to Kerrigan urgent care, finally to Executive care. I trusted him exclusively with my medical problems. I'm saddened by his passing. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, c0-workers, everyone that knew him, and his trusting patients.

Was extremely sad to learn of Rick's passing. Not only as my former neighbor, but he was one I sought out when I needed to go to Urgent Care and he always took care of me.

Rick was a dear friend who will be sorely missed. He took great care of my family and helped my daughter Katie through a very difficult time with her hand injury. I know that he was cherished by many families in our valley. We enjoyed many hunting moments together and I treasure my relationship with his family. My heart goes out to them.
