Robert Eisenman Obituary

Sept. 18, 1926 - June 20, 2010 Robert R. Eisenman, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grand-father, brother, uncle and friend, age 83, a longtime valley resident, peace-fully passed away to be with the Lord after a short illness on Sunday morning, June 20, 2010, with his wife Linda and family at his side. Bob was born in Pennsauken, N.J. on September 18, 1926, where he lived until he enlisted in the military in September of 1943. He served his country in the Pacific Theater during World War II and again during the Korean Conflict where he achieved the rank of Master Sergeant. After being discharged from the military in 1955, he settled in California where he raised his family and enjoyed a successful career in sales. He was an avid golfer and traveled to many places to play his favorite sport, one of the things he was proud of was the three hole-in-ones that he attained. He was a longtime supporter of the Bob Hope Desert Classic where he was a Marshall for over ten years. One of the last trips Bob planned was a family reunion cruise to Mexico that was attended by over 30 of his family members. Bob and his family have lived in the Coachella Valley for over 33 years. During that time, Bob and his wife were local business owners of Archie's Dinner House in Indio and later in life pursued a successful career in real estate. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Irving. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Linda; his children and their spouses, Margie (Don), Darlene (John), Robert Jr (Barbara), Greg, Jeff (Yvette), Mark (Betsy); eight grand-children; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine; and brother, Doug. Bob leaves us with cherished memories and these words of wisdom "When you were born, I was flying" Bob will be deeply missed and never forgotten. I'm so glad that the family had the opportunity to take the cruise. I know he Uncle Bob understood why I couldn't make it. I just wish we had the opportunity to do it one more time. He had such great stories and such a great sense of humor.

Dad I will miss you so much you will always be in my heart and I love you I will always remember when we went to alaska and you found that pink rock that said "bite me" which was my favorite saying. You were the best and always there for us we all were the lucky ones to have a Dad like you. Thank you for being the best. P.S. your grandson says you are up there in heaven having fun with Pop.
