Roy Goodwin Obituary

Roy Jakob Goodwin, 49, of La Quinta, CA entered eternal life on Thursday October 25, 2007. His positive spirit did not falter but his body succumbed to cancer. He is survived by his parents, Erminio and Elisabeth Dal-Fuoco of Buellton; his wife, Jackie; two daughters, Rachel, 20 and Sara, 18; and his siblings, Ruth, Don, and Gina. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tyrone in 1994. He earned highest honors as a Star and Master Technician. He loved coaching youth soccer in Palm Desert and La Quinta. His HAKUNAH MATATA lifestyle included motorcycling, water skiing, flying, morning coffee and general relaxation with anyone close by. Roy will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Dear Goodwin Family,

I was saddened to hear of Roy's passing and want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you. I truly value the opportunities that I had to work with one of the nicest, friendliest, most thoughtful people there are. Roy's positive mental attitude and determination throughout his battle will be an inspiration to all those that were fortunate enough to know him for years to come.

Roy has given us all a gift during his battle with cancer and as of his passing. His Spirit’s inner strength came out during this battle and shined bright. During our phone conversations before and after his major operation he never complained. His attitude fighting this disease was so positive that he inspired and moved me deeply in my Soul.
Roy’s body did not survive this battle but his Spirit will live on in all of us who knew him. Roy’s Spirit is now a guiding light for all us who have learned from him during his struggle.

Roy’s Spirit will never die.
