Signe Cook Obituary

Signe J. Cook
Signe was an accomplished young
woman with two Master Degrees in the
Arts. After traveling Europe, she chose a modest and humble life-style. She accepted two positions in the Coachella Valley; one at The Desert Sun and one at The Larson Justice Center, giving meticulous detail to her responsibilities.
Signe enriched her life by seeking, finding and studying the best art, the best music, the best literature and the best poetry. She joyfully gave all she had to others, and hated only one thing in this world; cruelty in any form.
Without mention, people, (both family
members and dear friends) that she loved know exactly who they are.
She has said good bye to us all (way too early) with just two profound words:
Thank you.

What I remember most about Signe other than being beautiful, was her pure kindness. She was also charming and had child like sense of humor, especially when she was talking about herself. I loved this about her and will never forget it.

It's taken me this long to even look at this guest book.
The loss of my dearest friend is still unbelievable. Signe was light in the darkness, ever changing. She was unstoppable, a whirling dervish of a woman. Smarter than anybody, quick and witty, polished and professional. To know her so well was a gift. To know she has left this life and to feel it is unbearable.
How can I begin to measure in words such a soul as Siggie, what she meant to me and all of us who knew and loved her so well. We will love her forever and ever and miss her always.

I knew Signe for 31 years. We worked together at two jobs. She was an absolutely brilliant artist, curator and poet - but more than this she was a person of extremely high quality and dignity. There's a hole in my life that will never be filled and my heart goes out to her family

I had the pleasure of working with Signe at the court house. Like me, she came in early and we had the opportunity to great the day together. She will be missed.
