Thinking of Simi today. It's still hard to believe she is gone, especially given how full of life she was. I wish she were still here, but she lives on in spirit in our hearts and memories. Never forgotten.

Love the visits in our dreams. Our hearts are bound by love.

Terri and Bo,
My thoughts and prayers remain with you and your family. I have thought about Simi over the years. Today, for some reason, I kept thinking of her...remembering her in her little red and yellow plastic car in the drive way. She had the sweetest little giggle. My grandma, Dorothy Stone, loved her to pieces. The last time I saw her was shortly before she started kindergarten. I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a very special girl. I also lost child and I know the deep pain you suffer daily. Although, I didn't get to see Simi grow into the bright and vibrant lady she had...it doesn't suprise me to read how she was such a sweet, kind, and loving individual. I remember you two being the exact same.

January 1, 2008

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I had the great fortune of becoming good friends with Simi while living in Arizona. She was a beautiful girl on the inside and out. I have so many fun and happy memories of being with her. She was always full of life and had such a way of making you feel that when you were with her you could rule the world. Some of my favorite memories of our times together would have to be our crazy workouts. Simi and I lived close to one another and we would ring each other up at whatever time day or night to go on one of our 9 mile runs. Often times we would find ourselves running thru old town Scottsdale at 10:00 at night having the time of our lives while the bars were packed with people. We couldn't have been having more fun all sweaty, singing along to our ipods and laughing the entire time. She always pushed me to go further and do more. She totally made my bachelorette party. I went over to her house before to get ready in our hawaiian gear together before we hit the town. My bachelorette party would not have been the same without Simi. She didn't know any of my girlfriends but fit right in and made everyone fall in love with her. We lost touch a couple of years ago and I will always regret that. I am sad that I will never get to hear what Simi is up to or to see her smiling face again. I will treasure the time I had with her and know that she is laughing and smiling from up above.

Hello pretty girl! You are in my mind constantly and have been in my heart since we met that day at Sonora when I knocked on your door and woke you up. You welcomed me into your world then and from then on we leaned on each other. I feel an emptiness now and miss you terribly. I have more memories with you in them than I do of anybody else. I only knew you just less than 10 years but the memories I have of you and us are stronger and more vibrant than those I have of people I have known my entire life. There is so much I miss about you. I miss chowing on sweets and getting so upset because you couldn't stay up for a movie. The time you went for a run and couldn't remember my number to call for a ride home. You are so funny without even trying to be. When I think of you I smile. The smile carries with it sadness and remorse but always love. You are so dear to me and were and are an integral part of my existence. You taught me so much and I was always so worried about you and wanted to protect and look after you. You are so very dear to me and I love you so much! You matter to me and I think of you with ferocity. I admire all of you, most especially your uninhibited manner. Laughing. Loving. Regret. Crying. Anticipation. Playing. Learning. Fun. All with love.

Just thinking of you, Simi. I miss your vibrant and bubbly spirit, your beautiful smile and your sweetness. You had your Mother's beauty and poise, your Father's charm, and from both of them you gained your loving and generous heart. I hope you know how loved you are and how very missed you are. Things will never be the same without you here. You are one-of-a-kind and will never be forgotten. Happy Valantine's Day, Simi, with much love...................

I did not really know Simi personally, but my sister was good friends with her for their years in middle-high school. My memories of Simi extend to the way she was never a judging person in any situation. My family didn't have much and she would still come over, stay the night when my sister and her were younger and play hide and seek even with me and my sister in a three bedroom townhouse. I lost my father right in front of me at age 11 and I know how you must feel. So much stripped away far to soon. God did his thing and I'm sure he saw what we all saw in Simi..... a giving soul and an eternal memory for everyone who knew her. God bless her family through all of this. I am a journalist and still reside in Longview and attend Valley Christian Fellowship while raising a five year old daughter on my own still attending school. I would like to write about Simi and hopefully spread her memory. Any family members, feel free to contact me. God Bless

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday with my daughter, Megan Reilly, and Simone was there as well. We were impressed with her vivacious personality, and she added a great deal to the occasion. I heard the terrible news and sat and did some thinking about the times I spent babysitting and hanging out with Simi on Corman Road, and my senior year when we had the chance to play softball together. Dear Terri, Bo and Family-
I am so sorry about your loss of Simi. I took care of Simi when she was a precious baby. I'm 87 years old now, and do remember the good times I had with Simi. I also remember the love you two had shown for Simi, and how proud you both were of her. Although I never knew her in her later years. It sounds like she moved on through life and was an inspiration to those who knew and loved her, and then everyone else that also crossed her path, as well. I just knew she would continue on to be a beautiful, bright and shining star! Simi, you are gone, but will never be forgotten.

Your family has endured so much...words cannot espress how sad I feel for you and the family. I have so many fond and fun memories of Simi, when I babysat her as a young girl. Never a dull moment around her, so full of the unexpected and her loving ways. I always will cherish your visit to the desert. The last time I had seen Simi. Dear Bo and Terri,
Having tragically lost my son Dave's wife a few years ago, I have a sense for how awful it must be to lose Simi at such a young age. Even 6 years later, I think about Crystal at holidays, on birthdays, and so forth. The only comfort I have about this comes from knowing that she had a good life and that things could have been so much worse for her, had she lived in another century or another country (such as Iraq or Somalia). Nonetheless, my prayers are with you. If there's anything I can do, please let me know.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and I know Simone will be the prettiest angel in Heaven. Please take care of yourselves and remain strong! I know Simone will be watching over you.

My heart goes out to you Bo & Terri, and all the family and friends that Simi's life touched.

I am so saddened by the loss of Simi ~ a bright star to all that knew her. ~ I will always remember my last visit with her. It was at her home that was so bright and colorful, I remember thinking how it so reflected her personality!

Please let your wonderful memories of Simi's visit home for Christmas stay with you always.

Bo & Terri
I was looking in the obituaries yesterday and saw a picture of a beautiful girl and was so saddened that she was taken away at such a young age. I kept reading and was so shocked that it was your daughter, even though I never had the previlege to have met her but we knew how much you loved and cared for her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Loosing a child is so devastating that their are no words that we can say to make you feel better. We just want you to know that your in our prayers and if their is anything we can do for you don't hesitate to call.

My deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with you all. You do not know me, but I am a realtor, working in Rancho Mirage, where your beautiful daughter lived....I saw your name on the homeowner list in the community and noticed it because a girl named Brusco from Pittsburgh, played an important roll in my past life, from 31 yrs ago,she called me that she had lost her precious son at age 21 recently. Your entire family will be in my prayers each day.

I so very wish I could be there for you on Monday. I know there is nothing I can say that will ease the pain, but wanted you to know that we are thinking of you and praying for you. I have so many fun memories of Simi when we were younger and playing at your house or swimming at Grandma's. Hold onto all the beautiful memories you have.

Brusco Family,
The thoughts and prayers of my family are with yours at this difficult time. Simi is a wonderful girl and she will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

My dad and I were talking about the "good ol'" softball days, and how Simi loved to be on the field with her friends. Those memories will stay with us forever. Simi lit up every room that she entered, with her smile and laugh.

You have always been there for my family in our times of sorrow, please know that we are here for you as well.
