Stefan Snyder Obituary

"Basha" Stefan Snyder, 17, of Rancho Mirage, CA passed away on September 24, 2007 in Rancho Mirage of a car accident. He was born July 24, 1990 to Stefan Snyder and Liliana Plati in Los Angeles, CA. He was a senior at Marywood Palm Valley. Basha was very gifted and talented in many ways. He was fluent in 3 languages; Polish was his first language and started French in kindergarten. He spent every summer in Europe, half at French camp, half at Polish. He was also an expert skier, a sport which he took up at the age of one, and grew into a double black diamond expert. His interests spanned a vast spectrum. They ranged from sports to music to science. He rock climbed, was a fantastic cook, and an excellent swimmer. He played water polo at Palm Desert High School and he played jazz and football at Palm Valley High School. He was also a licensed sailor and recently survived a 12 Beaufort tornado in Poland. His main focus lately has been medicine. He took summer classes at UCLA in this subject for university credits. He was full of life and had everything going for him. He was very likeable and loved by everyone he knew. He had an amazing sense of humor, and was always laughing and flashing his fantastic smile. He was very loving and very giving. He just recently began a non-profit organization whose goal was to raise money for cancer research. He was the typical California "Happy go lucky" kid. We all loved him very much. His loss will affect all of us. We miss him terribly. Basha is survived by his parents, Stefan and Liliana; sister Misia Snyder, all of Rancho Mirage. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with Funeral Service to follow in the Ramon Chapel at Forest Lawn Cathedral City Mortuary.

Dear Dr. Snyder and family, My heart goes out to you all. As a mother, I cannot even imagine the pain you must feel. As a practicing Christian, I know that God has a plan greater than we mortals can comprehend. Basha must have had some important task to perform for him to go home so soon. I will continue to keep you all in my prayers. Bonnie Ramos (client at the Woodland Hills office)
