Steven Edward Sokolowski

March 17, 1950 - July 29, 2017

Steven Sokolowski, 67, beloved son of Edward J. and Joyce E. Sokolowski passed away July 29th at Eisenhower Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends. Born in Storm Lake, Iowa, Steven was the second of six children. The family moved to California in 1956, soon settling in Claremont, Ca. Steven was preceded in death by his father Edward and his brother Bob. He is survived by his mother Joyce and her partner David, by his brothers Dave, Stanley, and Paul, by his sister Connie Hinkle, and by several nieces and nephews. Steven was straightforward, philosophical and detail oriented, hardworking and honest, very well respected in the working community. Possessed of a wry and witty sense of humor, Steve was a loyal friend who made friends for life. A generous man in work and friendship, he touched the lives of many and made the world brighter, giving 100% of himself to the very end. He will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of your loss. I met Steve when I worked at FItzhenrys Funeral Home in Coachella. He was such a nice person and always ready to help out with anything. I am sure he will be missed by many. Rest in peace Steven
