I went to High school will Tom and he is part of some of the best memories of my life. Our lives have grown apart over the years but we have been able to catch up with each other here and there. I did not know he was battling cancer and I regret that I was not able to say good by. I will hold on to my memories and I will never forget him. Kim, my heart goes out to you and your kids. The memorial was beautiful and what a blessing he was to so many people, it is wonderful to see all the young lives that Tom has touched, he is in heaven now coaching the wrestling team up there, God needed the best so he took Tom. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you, and I pray that the Lord keep you in the palm of his hands during this difficult time.

I knew Tom through Chemo treatments. He always kept strong and was an inspiration to me. I am sorry for your loss.

I met Tom and his Beautiful Family in 1977 while wrestling for Indio high. Wrestling and teaching came natural to Tom. The knowledge you gained was put to great use! You inspired others and in doing so filled your destiny. I will miss our talks and your competitive spirit! Rest in peace my friend. Your legacy will live on.....in loving memory.

Carolyn, Kim and family:
Tom was a reflection of his upbringing just as the testimonies stated here show. He was a deeply caring and selfless person-just the kind of person you want touching and influencing the lives of young people. Tom leaves a positive influence on family, friends and the youth of the Coachella Valley. He deeply loved all his family, especially Carolyn and Kim, of course. Reflecting on Tom and Kim's wedding I remember seeing their quality then.
May you all find your peace in God's word. Bless you all.

When I met Tom, I never realized or could have known what an amazing example he would be or what he would accomplish in his short life. I never knew he would touch so many lives. He was my first husbands best friend and while I personally didn't keep in touch with him after our divorce, I highly respect his accomplishments and think its pretty darn awesome to have known him. RIP Tom! My deepest condolences to Kim and his family.

What will always stand out in my mind is how inspired I felt each and every time I was around Coach Jenkins. He is the type of Coach and Teacher who is a beacon of light for students. He loved his family and was a caring husband and father.

Tom I will never forget when you came home from college one winter break to our wrestling practice and how you bought me a meal because I told you that I had not eaten in 2 days. I will never forget the many things you did for the wrestlers at DMHS. Your love for kids was beyond amazing. God bless your family.
