We have known Vivek for about 2 years through the Stanford (Alumni) Club of the Desert where he was especially interested in reaching out to our young local alums. He and Derek would relish any chance to open their home to our Club members and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Our love goes out to Derek, to Vivek's parents and to everyone whose lives he touched throughout his short, but very loving, journey on this Earth.
'til we meet again...

I knew Vivek when he was a very young man, at Stanford. So brilliant, handsome, intense, enthusiastic and gentlemanly. We kept in touch through mutual friends, and I was lucky enough to see his occasionally. I was heart-broken to hear of his passing at such a young age. Please know that my prayers are with his partner and family.
