Wow, I just learned about this today. I am still in shock, not sure what to say.

Brother,Maynard and wife Mary will cherish the times spent with Vivian. She always showed us a good time in Palm Springs when we visited there, taking us to all the interesting places. We will remember you in our hearts, Vivian. You are now at peace with the Lord.

My memories of Vivian reflect her later years, years when she golfed weekly with the women's group at Tommy Jacobs and kept records for the Palm Springs Desert Museum. Her smile and dedication to these activities was contagious and inspired greater efforts on the part of her friends. I'll miss you, Vivian, and thanks for being my friend.

I knew Vivian (first, as Mrs. Ferguson) when she was a social worker at San Bernardino County Welfare and I was the new file clerk. She was very kind and helpful. A few years later, we were both working at SB Co. Mental Health and often had lunch together with other staff at the cafeteria. I had no idea she had moved to Palm Springs; would have tried to contact her. She was a wonderful person, someone I admired very much for her accomplishments. Sorry I never got to tell her so.
