Antonette "Nettie" Barbara Hein

April 23, 1931 - August 8, 2023

Nettie (Beran) Hein, 92, of College Station, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 18, at 10 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Private entombment will be at Msgr. Gleissner Mausoleum.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., followed by the Rosary at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station.

Nettie was born April 23, 1931, in Burleson County, the daughter of Anton and Bessie (Sablatura) Beran. She worked and retired after many years of service from Fashions by Manning and Nita Smith and Texas A&M AgriLife Research. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, dancing, traveling the back roads of Texas and cooking and baking and spending time with family members. Nettie was a charter member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and a member of the KJZT and Altar Society. Nettie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin; daughter, Cheryl Wyatt; grandson, Christopher Wyatt; and sisters; Edith Jones, Mary Anne Stasny, and Dorothy Beran.

She is survived by her children, Michael Hein and wife, Alice, Cathy Smock and husband, Mark, Tim Hein; and son-in-law, Bob Wyatt; grandchildren, Chad Wyatt, Courtney (Wyatt) Barrett and husband, John, Colby Wyatt and wife, Jenn, Zachary Smock and wife, Crystal, Matthew Smock and wife, Lindsey, Jordan (Hein) Gerules and husband, Joseph; and stepgrandson, Joshua O'Neal; seven great-grandchildren; a twin sister, Elizabeth Wymola and husband, Alfred; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, Texas Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Memorial Funeral Chapel, 2901 Texas Avenue South, College Station entrusted with arrangements.

Nettie was a good neighbor. We enjoyed talking with her whenever she was out. We missed her when she moved from her house, and we will continue to miss her. Our sympathies and blessings to her family and friends, as we rejoice in knowing that she is reunited with Ed.
