Brian Bachmann Obituary
Constable Brian Bachmann, 41, was shot and died in the line of duty while serving an eviction notice at a home in College Station on August 13, 2012.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 17, 2012 at Christ United Methodist Church, 4201 State Hwy 6 South, College Station, TX 77845. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Reed Arena, 730 Olsen Boulevard, College Station, TX 77843.
Brian was born November 29, 1970 in Mimot, North Dakota, the son of Bradley and Carmen (Hernandez) Bachmann. Brian was a Certified Peace Officer since 1992 and holds an Advanced Peace Officer Certificate. Brian served Brazos County as a Deputy in the Brazos County Sheriff's Office from 1993 to 1998 when he joined the Brazos Valley Narcotics Task Force. In 2005 he returned to the Sheriff's Office.
In 2005, Brian was honored as the Officer of the Year for the Brazos County Sheriff's Office and also was a recipient of the Enrique Camarena Award. The award is given nationwide in memory of Camarena, a U.S. drug agent who was killed in 1985 while working undercover in Mexico. Currently he was serving his first term as the Constable of Precinct 1, Brazos County.
Brian is survived by his wife, Donna (Wiesner) Bachmann; parents, Bradley and Carmen Bachmann; children, Sam Ellis Bachmann, Amanda Marolyne Bachmann, Bradley Colby Bachmann, and Caitlyn Ashley Bachmann; grandson, Samuel Bachmann; brother, James Eric Bachmann; sister, Rebecca Yvette Davis and her husband, Lawrence Davis, II; numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Though we met Brian and visited with him for a short time when he accompanied the JUMMP Students to our home to work in our yard, we found him to be warm, friendly and so likeable who was leading by example the youth from the Bryan/College Station area on their missionary work. I am deeply saddened at the loss of your dear husband. We worked together at the Sheriff's Department for many years. I know that he was a great husband, wonderful father, a good friend and was strong in his faith in Christ. I pray for peace and strength for you and your family. Donna and family . . . We did not personally know Brian, however, our hearts break that such a wonderful man was taken from this earth at such at early age and for such a senseless reason.
