Celeste Pillow Obituary
Celeste M. Pillow, 98, of Caldwell, passed away peacefully Friday, May13, 2011 with her family by her side. Services were held Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home Chapel.
Celeste was born November 1, 1912 in Thornton, Texas to Leonard Crabb and Effie Wimberly. Even from the beginning she was a strong willed Daddy's girl. She was blessed with the gift of wisdom of years and she always had the right answer about life or anything else for that matter. She enjoyed being outdoors either camping, or fishing. She traveled as often as she could. In her lifetime she probably has been to every state at least once. She loved cooking for her family whether it was Sunday dinner or a big gathering for all. She was an avid reader. She really had a sense of style and fashion for shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 42 years, Edward P. Pillow; sister, Annie Mae Elliott; two brothers, Lee and Raymond Crabb; and son-in-law, Tommie L. Heathman.
Survivors include her daughter, Dixie Heathman of Caldwell; grandsons; Tommy Heathman and wife, Marcy of Bryan, and Danny Heathman of Caldwell; four great-grandchildren, Debra Heathman and Alex Heathman both of San Marcos, Danielle Heathman of Caldwell and Brandy Heathman of Missouri; great-great granddaughter, Dakota Heathman of Caldwell; sister, Joy Farrell of Elgin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends that will miss this "one of a kind lady" very much.
