Christine Jones Obituary
Christine Nicole Jones, 16, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 in Franklin. A private funeral service was for Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Franklin Worship Center. Pallbearers were Scott Phillips, Walter Commander, Trace Choate, Clay Rutledge, Austin Miller and Craig Miller
Christine was born November 12, 1994, in Bryan to Steve and Shannon Scott Jones. She has spent all her life in the Franklin community and was a sophomore at Franklin High School. She was a member of the Franklin Worship Center. From the time she was a baby, we knew Chris was high-maintenance. That red hair was an immediate indicator of her feistiness, wild-spirit, and strong-willed personality. Even though it caused her to challenge everyone around her at times, it also made her the amazing girl who was out to change the world. And she did just that. Her smile was infectious to everyone. Her joy, her laughter, and her passion for those she loved were truly a gift to those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Danita Jo Jones.
Survivors include her parents, Steve and Shannon Jones of Franklin; three sisters, Nicole V. Marie Brandon, Stephanie V. Marie Brandon and Rachael Alexandra Jones, all of Franklin; grandparents, Joe and Mary M. Jones, of Franklin, and Jeff and Sandy Munson of Franklin; great-grandmother, Mary Scott of Little Rock, Ark.; aunts and unlces, David and Heather Temple of Richmond, Jerry Jones of Franklin, and Jeff and Kassi Munson of Royse City; cousins, Evan of Richmond, Jordan, Cody, Jenna and Jillian of Royse City, Kevin and Michelle Dunn and daughter, Madison of Benton, Ark. and numerous great uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Chris Jones Scholarship Fund in c/o Franklin High School P.O. Box 909 Franklin, Texas 77856.

I loved Chris like a big sister. There's not a day that goes by that we all think about this amazing young lady. Her honking noise she would make every time she would laugh, her smile that was literally contagious. Every time Chris would smile, you couldn't help but to be overcome with happiness... Steve, Shannon, Rachel, Stephanie, and Nicole are being so strong and I am so proud of them for that. Chris would love that. I still shed tears every time I don't see her posts on face book about some random Lil Wayne song or what she was doing that night. But then I think about what she would say to me if she saw me like that. She'd probably say, "Girl!You'd better stop that crying down there!hahaha(honk)" Chris we will always love you and we will miss you deeply

I know i wasn't close to her but her death has made a huge impact on my life. Chris was an amazing person she was a christian, she was always sweet to everyone, and she will always be remembered. She has made an influence in my life to be a better person and of many others life's as well. I pray for her family and friends and everyone that is is going through a difficult time over this tragic situation but just know she is happy and in a better place.

Chris Jones was an amazing young lady and will be missed dearly. She had numerous friends and family who care for her deeply and had to lay her to rest on monday morning in Franklin, TX. Please pray for the Jones family and the franklin community for their loss of a child when she should have not been taking away. My deepest condolences to the Jones family and friends. It's tough to see everyone hurting right now but I know Chris is in a better place. I keep repeating the song I can only imagine in my head and wondering what Chris is doing right then. R.I.P. Chris. We will all miss you more than words can describe.

christine was a very unique person. i know that nobody is perfect, but she was pretty close to it. she was a christian, and based her life around the lord. she was loved by many, and impacted many of us. we always had fun together, and would laugh at something for a hours that wasn't even funny. i miss her. but i know she is in a better place. i can't wait to see her again because we have a lot to catch up on. i love you christine

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Jones Family. Chris was a great kid. She had alot of friends that looked up to her. She was always there for my daughter when she needed someone to talk to. And I want to tell her thank you. It is going to be hard for awhile but life will get easier as it comes. Just to know that she in Heaven watching over all her friends and family makes me feel alittle bit better already. We will miss her very much and that pretty smile she always had on her face. May God be with you during this time in your life. I will keep the Jones family in my prayers for yrs to come..
