Dennis grew up in the Spring area and later graduated from Bryan High School, Class of 1973. Following graduation, he worked as an auto mechanic for many years in the Bryan and Spring areas. He was a brilliant mechanic, skilled gardener, and an avid fisherman and hunter. Dennis is predeceased by his parents, Mike and Lois. Survivors include his wife Kathy; his siblings, Michael Dean Leitko and wife Margaret, Martin John "Johnny" Leitko Jr., and Cheryl Theresa Leitko and husband Vernon Wattles; sons, Cade Leitko and wife Erin, Austin Leitko and wife Kara; their mother, Melinda Jeringan and husband Jimmie; his grandchildren, Garrett, Ellie, Hadley, Everly; two step grandchildren, Jason and Rowan; and numerous extended family and friends.
