Devin Cade Carter, 21 of Caldwell passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 in Caldwell. A Memorial Service was held at the Five Points Baptist Church near Hearne, at noon on Monday, July 21, 2014.
Devin was born March 24, 1993 in Athens, Texas to parents Kevin Carter and Dana (Kuykendoll) Olive. He was a graduate of Caldwell High School class of 2011 and played football for the Hornets. He was very athletic and talented on the football field. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and he also enjoyed archery with his step dad. Devin just loved life. He worked for Brazos Valley Hospice in the thrift store. He was engaged to marry Emma Walker.
Devin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerry Kuykendoll.
Survivors include his mother and step-dad, Dana and Ron Olive of Caldwell; his father, Kevin Carter and wife Ashley of Frost, Texas; his fiancée, Emma Walker of Caldwell, maternal grandmother, Jan Kuykendoll of Hewitt, Texas; paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Barbara Carter of Trinidad, Texas; step grandparents, Donnie and Mary Olive of Caldwell; uncles, Victor "Clint" Kuykendoll and wife Jaime of Hewitt, Texas, Kendal Armstrong and wife Julie of Malakoff, Texas; cousins, Nicole Kuykendoll, Kaci Kuykendoll, and Tyler Morgan, all of Hewitt, Meredith Armstrong, Kash Armstrong, both of Malakoff, Texas, and Kendon Armstrong and wife Christina of McKinney, Texas; and numerous friends who will miss him deeply.
