Helen Elizabeth "Beth" Bryant

October 25, 1961 - April 27, 2016

Helen Elizabeth "Beth" Kash Bryant, 54, passed away peacefully into the arms of God and her Savior, Jesus Christ on April 27, 2016.

Beth was born on October 25, 1961 in Memphis, Tennessee to parents Tom and Diane Kash. Beth was a graduate of Danbury High School in 1979. Beth spent her youth living in many different states with her family and enjoying life along the way.

Beth is preceded in death by her grandparents, Raymond and Helen Kash of Chicago, IL, and Charles and Madeleine Donnelly of Memphis, TN.

Survivors include her parents, Tom and Diane Kash of Cypress, TX; daughter Jayme Bryant (26) of Houston, TX; sons David Bryant (22) of College Station, TX, and Nicholas Bryant (18) of College Station, TX; future son-in-law, Brad Aills of Houston, TX; sisters Susanne Mitchell and husband John of Tomball, TX, Theresa Lynn Horstman and husband Ken of Waco, TX, and Kathleen Kash and husband Tyler of Woodstock, IL; nieces and nephews, Erin Mitchell, John Thomas Mitchell, Jude Horstman, Julia Horstman and Kash Smith, along with countless friends and her favorite cat Griffey.

Beth was "the best" Mom to her 3 children and countless others. She was a kind-hearted, live music enthusiast who loved a great deal at garage sales. Beth was the strongest cancer fighter, with a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She was adventurous and stubborn yet gentle. Also a die-hard Aggie football and basketball fan.

When asked about her profession, Beth's first response would always be: "I am my kids' mom." She also took great pride in any job she was assigned. She was especially proud of her work with the Downtown Bryan Association where she began her career as an Office Manager and later promoted to Director of Operations. While cancer ultimately took her life, it never shook her determined spirit.

Beth's statement last year regarding the illness speaks volumes to the woman that she was, honest and resolved:

"The reality of life with cancer is very different from the image we try to portray. Our fight is simply a willingness to go through treatment because, frankly, the alternative sucks. Strength? We endure pain and sickness for the chance to feel normal down the road. Brave? We build up an emotional tolerance and acceptance of things we can't change. Faith kicks in to take care of the rest."

We love you and will miss you, Beth. Your strength and kindness will be an inspiration for all of those that had the absolute pleasure of knowing you. Go with God and rest in peace.

Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory. Flowers may be sent to 805 Merion Ct. College Station, TX 77845. For those who wish to honor Beth in another way, a fund has been set up for the children at The Bank & Trust of Bryan/College Station.

Beth's Memorial Service Tribute will be held at The Village Cafe 210 W 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803 on Monday, May 2nd at 6:30pm with a candlelight vigil following at The Queen Theatre in Downtown Bryan.
