Jaime Omar Ramirez, 49, was called home on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He is reunited with his beloved brother, "Ponchito," Alfonso Ramirez Jr.
Jaime was born September 1, 1973, in Edinburg, Texas and represented Edinburg Bobcats. He was born the fourth of five children to mother, Ester Ramirez and father, Alfonso Ramirez. Jaime was a strong believer in Christ and demonstrated wisdom, strength and love. He taught us to lean on God through our struggles and battles. He enjoyed the hard times because that meant that we were all together. "Fight the Good Fight!" is the legacy he left behind, meaning that no matter what we go through in life, we should get up and fight the good fight. Keep going and don't give up.
He was enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1992 and became a sharpshooter until 1994. Throughout his life, Jaime was a mechanic and a handy man and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Jaime was a big fan of A&M and most of the time he would wear his "Aggie" attire or his extra starched button up shirts with sandals
Jaime had no larger enjoyment than to be with his family. He would enjoy singing lullabies to the kids, his favorite "Germs germs my invisible dog." He also enjoyed singing karaoke, reading books or the newspaper, and watching the news or his live PD shows. Jaime's humor was unmatched, his personality was like no other, he was the life of the party. He was easy to remember and extremely hard to forget.
Jaime is survived by his beloved children, Valarie Salinas (Adrian), Victoria Ramirez, Jaime Ramirez Jr., Justyn Ramirez (Yadira), Alicia Ramirez; and six grandchildren; siblings, Yvette Ozuna (David), Yvonne Macias (Gustavo) and Priscilla Ramirez (Joshua); and nieces, nephews and cousins.
The Celebration of the Life of Jaime Omar Ramirez will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. The celebration will be held at Semilla De Mostaza Church, with Pastor Javier and Magda Muniz, 1002 E. 29th St., Bryan, TX 77803.

My deepest condolences. Jaime was a great soul. Always positive and happy. He taught me my worth . Always teaching me lulubys to sing to my grandkids and he would sing to little nice lulubys. Always a positive soul. Until we meet again my friend. Thank you for teaching me about religion. RIP Jaime
