I never had the opportunity to meet Mr. Copeland. I have been a big fan of his and his crosses. I know I have purchased over ten+ of his beautiful crosses. I have given each family member one of Mr. Copelands crosses and my close friends. I purchased mine in Fredericksburg Tx. I feel he will be dearly missed by family and friends

Robin and family, I just discovered today, Nov. 28, that your wonderful father passed away back in September. I am so sorry to hear that. My wife and I were commenting that John had not called recently and I noticed my last call from him was in July. I know he is a much better place now and pray that you are doing OK. He was a great friend and I will always think of him when I use the prayer cross he carved for me.

Met John while driving cars for dealerships. Coffee and crosses kept us grounded. John and us were always checking in on each other. We called to take him to eat. No answer, called again this morning. Later received the call of the bitter sweet news. John was a great man, a real treasure and good friend to us. We are saddened by the news yet rejoice. He's home. And now whole and complete. We will miss him dearly. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Driving vehicles for car dealerships is how we met John. Our friendship grew over coffee and through crosses. Visits and calls kept us grounded. He was a treasure to us and a real encouragement. We valued his friendship. Though bitter sweet we are joyful . Praise God for his love which shone bright through John.

John was one of my training officers at the Bryan Police Department in 1973. I have many fond memories.

John was my first training officer in 1979 when he was with Bryan PD. I used the things he taught me the rest of my career. One of the finest men I have ever known.

Terry & Robin, I'm so sorry to hear of John's passing. He and Shirley were such good friends many years ago. I had lost touch with John after Shirley's passing and often wondered about him. God bless you and your families during this time of sorrow.
