Kevin Dill Obituary

Kevin Ralph Dill

January 17, 1961 - October 2, 2025

Kevin Ralph Dill passed away in the early morning of October 2, 2025 preceding a journey spanning 64 years.

Kevin Dill was born to Charles and Shirley Dill in Raleigh, North Carolina on January 17, 1961. He grew up and spent most of his life in Bryan-College Station, Texas with his older brother and younger sister, where his father taught at Texas A&M University. This led to a life of rooting for the fighting Texas Aggies. Through Texas A&M's extension service Kevin graduated in 1985. He met the love of his life, Kathleen, at the Bryan Public Library, where she worked at the time, while repairing the copier. Through her he developed a lifelong devotion to the Catholic faith. They married September 25, 1993 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Taylor, Texas and spent thirty-two years together, accompanied by their three children. His love for music was a constant throughout his life. He played the trumpet, guitar, and bass guitar and enjoyed live music. As a proud "Dead Head" he was most at home in one of his many Grateful Dead shirts.

Kevin joins his parents Charles and Shirley, with his memory still being shared by his wife, Kathleen Dill; and children, Jessica, Elizabeth, and William; his son-in-law Travis; grandson, James who he happily shared a birthday with; siblings, Charles Dill, Jr. and Susan Hill; and multiple nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held in his honor from 5 to 8 p.m., with a rosary starting at 7 p.m., Thursday, October 9th, at the Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas. The funeral mass will convene the following morning, at 11 a.m., on Friday, October 10th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church followed by the burial at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

My heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. While I did not know Kevin personally, his sweet mom Shirley was an office volunteer in her later years at First Presbyterian Church in Bryan while I was employed there in the church office and where I still am a member. Shirley loved her children and will now be reunited with Kevin. Much love and affection... Karen Berg
